The right deck is a fifteen span box girder, with a total length of 1319m, and the left deck a fourteen span box girder 1279m long.<\/p>\n
The decks were cast \u201cin situ\u201d in 5 meter segments using the balanced cantilever method.<\/p>\n
The piers have a maximum height of 50m with hollow, rectangular constant cross-section shafts.<\/p>\n
The foundations are direct on bedrock except for piers P9 and P12 where they are indirect on 2,0m diameter piles.<\/p>\n
This viaduct is located in an area with a high potential for seismic activity.<\/p>\n
Construction began in October of 2004 and was completed in November
